Course Title: SSM1090 - Capstone Course- The Sustainable Enterprise

Class Schedule: Winter Term: Mondays, 2-5pm

Dates of Appointment: January 1st, 2026 – April 30th, 2026

Description of Course: The course is designed to develop an integrative understanding of creating and managing a sustainable enterprise. Students (in a group of three or four students) will work on a project related to the design and management of a sustainable enterprise under the supervision of course instructors. The focus of projects will be on demonstrating integration, application, and innovation skills to address challenges faced by an organization with a goal to become a sustainable enterprise. 

Position Description: a) grading quizzes, tests, assignments and exams b) meet with or respond to students' inquiries during office hours c) update material and grades on Quercus courseware d) attend weekly lecture and/or review lecture material e) other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications: Must have completed and achieved a minimum grade of "A" in SSM 1090 or equivalent courses

Preferred Qualifications: Preference given to applicants with previous TA experience in this course. 

Salary FCE): $ vacation pay 

Anticipated Enrollment: 45

 It is understood that some announcements of vacancies are tentative, pending final course determinations and enrolment. Should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.  

Preference in hiring is given to qualified individuals advanced to the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or Sessional Lecturer III in accordance with Article 14:12 of the CUPE 3902 Unit 3 collective agreement.

Please note: Undergraduate or graduate students and postdoctoral fellows of the University of Toronto are covered by the CUPE 3902 Unit 1 collective agreement rather than the Unit 3 collective agreement, and should not apply for positions posted under the Unit 3 collective agreement.
