Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment. This role involves preparing and serving coffee, tea, and other beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all customers. Previous experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cash handling, and customer service while working in a vibrant team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages following company recipes and standards
  • Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries or concerns
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately using basic math skills
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area, equipment, and dining space in accordance with food safety standards
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling food items or snacks when needed
  • Ensure food safety practices are followed during food handling and serving processes
  • Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods

Qualifications

  • Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for those new to the role
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for team success
