About Us

Freebird Market is a one-of-a-kind culinary destination featuring in-house breads, pastries, pasta, soups, sauces, braised meats, and prepared meals — all made from scratch in our bright 8,000 sq. ft. commissary kitchen.

We also offer a curated selection of globally inspired wines, beverages, and specialty grocery items. Our mission is simple: to make eating well and entertaining easy, inspiring, and delicious.

Your Role

As part of our café and market team, you'll play a key role in both customer service and food preparation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and serving salads, warming sandwiches on the grill, and baking pizzas in the oven
  • Assisting customers with orders and providing friendly, knowledgeable service
  • Preparing espresso and specialty coffee beverages
  • Operating the POS system and processing transactions accurately
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming service area
  • Restocking and merchandising display cases and shelves
  • Supporting the team with general café and market duties as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Previous café, restaurant, or food service experience (required)
  • Barista and sandwich-making experience (an asset)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Open availability including weekends and select evenings
  • Smart Serve certification or willingness to obtain (required for wine service)
  • Interest in global cuisine and a passion for great food
