The Opportunity:
We're looking for a Manager, HR Operations to join our People & Culture team. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, HR Systems, the Manager, HR Operations is responsible for providing overarching direction and establishing best practices on all HR processes and procedures. This role will oversee the development, implementation, maintenance and audit of HR operational functions. The Manager, HR Operations will lead a team of talented HR professionals to achieve operational excellence, with a focus on delivering an efficient and optimal employee experience in alignment with Aviso's core values.

What your day looks like:
- Champion HR operational excellence and delivery of a seamless employee experience, through streamlined processes and optimized workflows
- Manage daily HR operations, assigning clear responsibilities and ensuring service delivery standards are met
- Establish and maintain best practices for HR guidelines, procedures and templates
- Continuously review and drive improvements to existing HR processes, ensuring alignment with broader team and organizational goals
- Develop and maintain policy and procedure documentation, ensuring alignment with legislation
- Lead, train and develop the HR Operations team to provide exceptional service while fostering a collaborative culture
- Lead the HR compliance function (including audits and surveys) and drive accurate data management, in compliance with policies and legislation
- Lead business process change across HR and other impacted teams
- Build cross-functional relationships to gain support for key objectives and priorities
- Manage other HR Operations programs and initiatives, including special projects as required
Your experience and skills:
- Minimum 7 years of experience working in progressive HR roles, in a complex environment
- Post-secondary degree in HR management, business or related field
- Knowledge of Canadian employment law and sound HR judgment
- CHRP designation would be an asset
- Previous experience managing a team and providing direction to team members
- Strong ability to coach, facilitate, influence and negotiate in order to reach consensus, resolve conflict and achieve desired outcomes
- Highly flexible, good tolerance for ambiguity and time-driven deadlines and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities
- Excellent judgment, critical thinking and evaluation, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong initiative to take on projects and work through to successful completion
- Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French would be an asset
- Previous experience in the financial services industry would be an asset
- Previous experience with Workday would be an asset

Salary
This position is posted with an expected salary range of $110,000 - $125,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
