Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Kanata, ON for a High School English/Social Science Teacher at Peak Centre Academy. The role involves planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons in English and Social Science subjects to high school students. The teacher will be responsible for developing curriculum, creating lesson plans, evaluating student performance, providing feedback, and communicating regularly with students, parents, and school staff to ensure a positive and productive learning environment. Additional responsibilities include participating in school events, staff meetings, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Experience in teaching at the high school level and familiarity with Social Studies
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff
- Skills in curriculum development and lesson planning to craft engaging educational experiences
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and dynamic classroom environment
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Social Science, or a related field
- Teaching certification and relevant endorsements
