Our Client is seeking a highly skilled
Finance Manager
for a
1-year contract
- some travel required.

Scope of Work

Reporting to a Senior Finance Leader, the Manager will provide direction and leadership, with key responsibilities including:

  • Leading
    institutional budget planning and comprehensive forecasting cycles.
  • Preparing
    accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports for executive review.
  • Supporting
    procurement processes and ensuring contract compliance across the organization.
  • Liaising
    effectively with internal departments and external auditors.
  • Ensuring
    strict adherence to all financial policies and regulatory requirements, including those specific to the
    Broader Public Sector (BPS)
    .

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Mandatory:
    A
    CPA designation
    or equivalent professional
    accounting
    qualification.
  • Mandatory:
    A minimum of
    five (5) years
    of progressive experience in financial management or accounting.
  • A four-year degree, preferably in Financial Management or Accounting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and complex financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with financial environments, particularly within the
    public sector
    or
    government funded organization
  • Proficiency with major financial systems (e.g.,
    ERP platforms like Banner, Workday, or similar
    ).
  • Experience with
    procurement
    or
    contract management
    , including knowledge of relevant Broader Public Sector procurement directives.
  • Experience with
    grant reporting
    and compliance is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to work independently while managing competing priorities.

Contract Requirement

  • Candidates must have
    full-term availability
    for the entire one (1) year contract duration.
