Rooted Landscape Management Ltd. is seeking a Landscape Maintenance Technician to join our team We specialize in maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces for residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities:

  • Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming.
  • Maintain plant health through pruning, weeding, and fertilizing.
  • Complete seasonal clean-ups and landscape enhancements.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Previous landscape maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture practices and plant identification.
  • Proficiency in operating landscape maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Physical stamina for manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Job Requirements

● Current and valid BC Class 5 Driver's license

● Drivers Abstract

● 1 year Job experience in related field preferred

● Steel toed boots

● Appropriate attire for all weather conditions

Expectations

● Between 35-45 hours per week from March-November

● Between 15-30 hours per week from December-February

● Competence in operating ALL Maintenance equipment, powered and non-powered.

● Competence in completing hedging/pruning, mowing/trimming, weeding and general cleanup

● Competence in assisting with jobs including but not limited to simple irrigation repair, aeration/top dress and garden mulching

● Plant Identification skills and general care knowledge preferred

● Time management and problem-solving skills

● Ability to learn and understand new tasks including new technologies

● Reliability and timeliness

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Seasonal, Apprenticeship

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
