Serviceperson (Fuel and Lube)

Position Scope

The Nuna Group of Companies is now accepting resumes for Serviceperson (Fuel and Lube) with large earthworks construction/mining project experience.   Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks, and mine construction contractor in Canada.     Nuna Logistics is a highly regarded civil construction company with hundreds of employees working across the Arctic and Northern Canada. • 3 week on / 3 week off rotations; 12-hour days
• Fly in Fly out
• Competitive hourly rate with Overtime pay (1.5x),

This position is located on our project site located in Hope Bay Mine, Nunavut.

Pre-access requirements may include:

• Medical clearances
• A&D Testing
• Criminal Record Check

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fueling and servicing of mobile equipment and stationary equipment including Excavator, Dozer, Loader, Grader, Rock Trucks etc.
• Ensuring fuel and service schedules are adhered to 
• Daily inspections of equipment
• Communication of deficiencies supervisors 
• Ensure all Client and Company Safety and Environmental policies are followed 
• Pre-start safety inspections
• Assist with maintenance as required by maintenance staff

   

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid Class 3 License with Airbrakes endorsement 
• Previous experience with similar position in heavy civil setting 
• Previous experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude 
• Good physical fitness as this position involves climbing up/down equipment frequently
