We are currently seeking an experienced Boom Truck Operator to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for operating heavy lifting equipment and contributing to the safe and efficient progress of construction or industrial projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate boom truck safely and efficiently in accordance with site and company procedures
  • Load, transport, and unload materials and equipment to and from construction sites
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections and daily maintenance checks
  • Ensure proper rigging and securement of loads
  • Work closely with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to coordinate deliveries and lifts
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and equipment usage records
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company safety policies
  • Identify and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns with the equipment
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean and organized at all times

Job Requirements

Language: English

Education: Diploma or apprentice training of 6 months to 2 years

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience operating a boom truck or similar equipment
  • Experience on construction sites (residential and commercial) is considered a strong asset
  • Familiarity with rigging and material handling procedures
  • Valid Class 3 driver's license with clean abstract
  • Boom truck certification (required or willingness to obtain)
  • Crane or hoisting certification is an asset
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and operate heavy equipment safely
  • Safety-minded and able to follow directions precisely
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
