Main duties
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key OEMs, transit authorities, and system integrators.
- Advise customers on the selection and application of PTRV products to meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
- Support sales activities by providing technical guidance, preparing proposals, and participating in customer presentations.
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, project management, production) to ensure solutions meet customer requirements and project timelines.
- Lead project follow-up from specification through delivery, including technical clarifications, BOMs, and spare parts recommendations.
- Support new product introduction by providing field feedback and application insights to R&D and marketing teams.
- Represent Mersen professionally at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and expanding product adoption with existing customers.
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and report on KPIs and sales performance regularly.
- Respond to customer inquiries for product information, application support, and cross-references.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and operational protocols in customer environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
- 3+ years' experience in technical sales or engineering in rail transit or related industries.
- Technical knowledge of rail vehicle power systems, high-voltage electrical equipment, or related components.
- Strong business development and customer relationship skills.
- Bilingual English/French preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% across North America; valid passport required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Salesforce preferred).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to work independently.
