About the Role:
We are seeking an Automation Developer for our Technology & IT Services Management team. The successful incumbent will work closely with business stakeholders to provide automation solutions using modern tools and technologies, map operational processes, identify and capture requirements, and develop solutions in an Agile environment. Act as a key driver for the goals of driving efficiency, building capacity by optimizing existing processes, and creating new processes while ensuring business requirements are effectively addressed.
As the Newest Member of our Team, You'll:
Work with business stakeholders to scope potential processes for automation, understand the productivity impact of the automation and calculate financial impact and return on investment, and oversee current state process definitions.
Recommend business process re-engineering using business process automation, along with use case generation, and demonstrate a suitable solution through rapid development of an effective proof of concept (POC).
Define and implement new process strategies and break down complex systems into their core parts to understand their functionality and interactions.
Design, create, develop, test, and implement automated processes and actively participate in ideation sessions to seek and implement continuous process improvements.
Create and maintain solution documents and other supporting documentation such as technical designs, release notes, operational and maintenance run books as part of a technical documentation repository and review automation output to recommend optimizations to improve success rate both in development and production automations.
Ability to manage multiple initiatives at the same time.
Adheres to all information technology operational protocols and procedures as per defined best practices and collaborate with information technology security to ensure the highest product security standards are met.
Develop and document best practices for developing automated solutions and contribute to the automation development best practices.
To Succeed, You Bring:
A university degree or college diploma in Computer Science or a related field .
Four (4) plus years of work experience as a developer in a fast-paced environment.
Strong proficiency in C#/.NET, TypeScript (with a preference for Angular), Blazor, and Python, with demonstrated experience using these languages for process automation.
Hands-on experience with API integration and development.
Strong knowledge of HTML and Relational databases.
Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or other automation tools.
Familiarity with any sort of AI tooling (Model Context Protocol, Microsoft Extensions AI) is considered as an asset.
Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and proactively develop advanced solutions for complex requirements.
