We believe our success comes from appreciating, supporting, and empowering our employees. We want the best and currently seeking an individual to join our team as a URD Foreman (shallow utility construction), based out of Calgary, AB.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a Foreman, you will perform activities related to the construction/installation of shallow utilities (power, communications, gas) in new residential subdivision developments.
- Coordination/supervision of a team of PLTs, Fusers, Equipment Operators, Labourers, and Subcontractors.
- Recognize, assess, and control potentially hazardous situations in the work environment. Ensure that the work area is kept safe and maintained with good housekeeping practices.
- Possess knowledge of industry standard safe working practices. Report near misses and investigate incidents.
- Ensure client expectations and contractual obligations are achieved (quality, timelines, safety).
- Complete progress reports, tracking of field counts, mitigate costs overages etc.
- Maintain positive relationships with our clients and field representatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in the underground utility construction standards and installation practices of the utility partners in the Calgary area (ENMAX, Shaw, TELUS, ATCO) is a must.
- The ability to read and accurately interpret civil and utility drawings and prints.
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to optimize productivity, minimize downtime, and achieve project milestones.
- Competent to monitor work progress and quality standards, conduct inspections and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure that production meets or exceeds project requirements.
- Proficient in communicating effectively, holding team members accountable, problem solving, and delegating tasks to crew.
- High attention to detail.
- Class 5 Drivers License
Wage is negotiable based on experience.

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
