NOW HIRING: Hoist Operator Security – Day Shift (North York, ON)

We are seeking a reliable and professional Hoist Operator Security Guard for a day-shift position in the North York area. This role combines hoist operation with onsite security duties to support safe and efficient construction operations.

Location: North York, Ontario

Schedule: Monday to Saturday (Day Shift)

Environment: Outdoor, standing for the full shift

Start: Immediate

Position: Hoist Operator Security

Compensation: Competitive pay

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the hoist safely and efficiently throughout the day
  • Ensure proper loading and unloading procedures for personnel and materials
  • Maintain strict safety protocols and monitor all site access
  • Perform routine safety checks on hoist equipment
  • Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately
  • Support general site security, including access control and visitor management
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and construction personnel

Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence
  • Hoist Operator Certification (mandatory)
  • Working-at-Heights certification or experience preferred
  • Ability to stand outdoors for the entire shift in varying weather conditions
  • Previous experience in construction security or hoist operation is an asset
  • Strong situational awareness and attention to safety
  • Steel-toe boots and full PPE required
