POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift
  • Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped
  • Package and box material in accordance with department procedures
  • General housekeeping
  • Order fulfillment, storing and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, etc.
  • Unpack and pack goods and materials
  • Completes Commercial Invoices and related Customs documents

OTHER JOB DUTIES

  • Acts as a point of contact for all courier and customs related inquiries.
  • Supports EMS sales and vertically integrated component level sales (PCB, enclosures, cables, optical, and memory) in a team environment.
  • Develops, analyzes data and manages complex Excel, PowerPoint and Word document files

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • 1-2 years of Shipping experience is required
  • Must be familiar with domestic and international shipping, including preparation of commercial invoices, B13s and packing slips
  • Must be familiar with the Canadian Export Reporting System (CERs)
  • Previous clerical experience considered an asset
