The Opportunity
The Accounting / Administrative Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support within the division. They will complete payments, as well as process, verify, reconcile invoices, and manages the day-to-day payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Processing of sales order processing and inventory related transactions
  • Tracking and processing specific accounts payables and expenditures including payroll, vendor invoices, expense forms, credit card transactions, freight invoices etc.
  • Oversee the daily reconciliation of the bank accounts
  • Controls processes related to day-to-day accounting requests such as new customer set up, purchase order approvals, and sales pricing adjustments
  • Generates multiple daily and weekly reporting tools generated through the ERP system and maintained in Excel
  • Assist with period end reporting including inventory count reconciliation

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in the field of Finance, Accounting, or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-3 years' progressive experience in the accounting field preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience with data entry in an office environment
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and AP/AR principles
  • Strong computer skills with previous experience using an ERP system, Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook
