About the Role:

Osler Bluff Ski Club, a private ski club nestled near Georgian Bay, is partnering with the Food Dudes, one of Toronto's top caterers, to provide an elevated clubhouse experience. We are seeking Line Cooks who are passionate about hospitality, ensuring preparation of high-quality dishes and commitment to exceptional service standards.

This role is paid an hourly wage plus tips.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the preparation and presentation of all menu items for breakfast, lunch, and events ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Ensure all dishes meet our high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.
  • Work closely with front-of-house staff to address customer feedback and ensure a consistently high level of service.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Wear appropriate protective gear (e.g., gloves, aprons) while handling food.
  • Regularly sanitize equipment and workstations to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Assist with inventory management, ensuring fresh ingredients are stocked.
  • Minimize waste and promote sustainability through efficient ingredient use and portion control.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Mentor junior staff by sharing knowledge and fostering teamwork.

Qualifications:

  • Food Handler Certification required; additional culinary certifications are an asset.
  • Proven experience as a Line Cook in a busy restaurant environment or high-end hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
