OVERVIEW
The Senior Vice President of Manufacturing & Operations will oversee the cannabis processing, packaging, supply chain and associated facilities. This role is integral for ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality products, optimizing supply chain efficiency, and aligning operations with the company's integrated global growth strategy, by improving operational metrics through data driven decision making and best practices to maximize profitability and enable market growth.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Excellence
- Lead and execute strategies to improve customer fill rate success, on-time delivery performance, and production process efficiency while maintaining target cost and duration criteria.
- Define the operational excellence vision and embed it across the company.
- Build governance structures to monitor, measure, and sustain performance.
- Lead transformation programs (lean, six sigma, digital operations, sustainability).
- Develop and mentor leaders to sustain a culture of excellence.
- Lead day-to-day operations across supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, and facilities
- Ensure operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high-quality execution of core business processes.
- Oversee capacity planning, production targets, and resource allocation to meet business demand
Product Quality
- Ensure that our products and ways of working consistently meet or exceed the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance. Quality is not an afterthought — it is designed into our products, embedded in our processes, and lived through our practices. It is the foundation of trust with customers, regulators, and each other
- Uphold the Company's quality vision, standards, and policies throughout the entire value chain
- Sponsor quality systems, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to promote product quality
- Champion cross-functional collaboration to integrate quality into product lifecycle
Supply Chain & Supply Planning
- Build and sustain an agile, resilient, and cost-effective supply chain that ensures the right product, at the right place, at the right time. Integrate demand, supply, and financial forecasting to enable smart decision-making, protect margins, and deliver value to customers and stakeholders.
- Own the end-to-end supply chain strategy and planning processes.
- Align supply chain performance with business growth and financial targets.
- Sponsor digital supply chain tools, ERP systems, and predictive analytics.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing supply chain and planning team
Inventory, Demand & Allocation
- Ensure optimal inventory levels that balance cost, service, and risk. Effective inventory management safeguards supply continuity, minimizes working capital, and enables the business to respond quickly to customer demand and market changes
- Define enterprise-wide inventory strategy and governance.
- Balance working capital efficiency with customer service reliability.
- Ensure inventory policies are consistently applied across functions and geographies.
- Sponsor digital and analytics capabilities to drive smarter decision-making
Risk, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure operations adhere to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
- Develop risk management strategies to safeguard supply chain, production, and business continuity.
- Champion sustainability, ESG, and compliance initiatives.
Financial & Performance Management
- Own operational budgets, P&L accountability, and efficiency KPIs.
- Implement systems to track and improve productivity, costs, quality, and delivery metrics.
Identify cost-reduction opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education :
- Bachelor's degree in business administration , Supply Chain, Engineering or a related field
Experience:
- 15+ years of progressive leadership in operations, supply chain, or manufacturing, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role
- Experience in a highly regulated industry with a strong focus on compliance and risk management.
- Strong command of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GPP and HACCP standards
- Demonstrated success leading multi-site or multi-region operations in a high growth, regulated, or complex industry (e.g., consumer goods, food & beverage, life sciences, cannabis, or advanced manufacturing).
- Proven ability to design and execute operational strategies that scale businesses from mid-size to enterprise level.
- Proven track record of improving customer service fulfillment metrics, inventory management, and production efficiency.
- Expertise in large-scale product manufacturing and processing operations with deep knowledge of supply chain management.
- Experience with advanced planning and scheduling systems (APS) for improving forecast accuracy, material planning, and resource allocation.
