Retail stocker

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Stocker to join our retail team. This role is essential in maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and organized store environment to ensure an excellent shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude. Bilingual skills are a plus to assist diverse customer needs. This position offers an opportunity to develop retail and merchandising skills while contributing to the overall success of our store operations.

Responsibilities

• Restock shelves and ensure merchandise is properly displayed according to merchandising standards
• Assist customers with locating products and answer inquiries in a friendly manner
• Operate equipment such as forklifts safely when required for heavy or bulk items
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, including cleaning shelves, aisles, and work areas
• Perform cashiering duties as needed, including processing transactions accurately
• Organize stockroom areas for easy access and inventory management
• Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies or low stock levels
• Support maintenance tasks around the store to ensure safety and functionality of the environment
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations and customer satisfaction

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales, merchandising, or stockroom operations is preferred but not required
• Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus; training will be provided if necessary
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers
• Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a broader customer base
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking and inventory management
• Ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently and maintain a neat work environment
• Basic cashiering skills including handling cash transactions accurately
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and assist customers effectively

Pay: From $15.65 per hour
