Senior Divisional Accountant Opportunity

M Chemical Company, a leading global manufacturer, marketer, and supplier of specialty chemicals and products, seeks a Senior Divisional Accountant to provide additional finance and accounting assistance to support its continued expansion. This position reports to the Corporate Controller in their Los Angeles, CA USA headquarters.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for financial and accounting support to the commercial teams. Responsibilities include independently performing work in the following areas: Creating Purchase Orders, Working with Suppliers and the Logistics Team on shipments and receiving, Managing Inventory, Preparing Sales Reports, Generating Inventory Reports and AR Reports, and Interacting with all levels of management.

Qualifications

Mandarin (reading, writing, and speaking) skills would be a plus

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Financial Analyst or an Accountant role

Must be well-versed in inventory

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Must be Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

Must have a good knowledge of ERP Systems - Enterprise Resource Planning; A familiarity with Datacor's Chempax ERP is a plus

Must have Hands-on experience with operational finance

Must have skills in managing timelines

Must be skilled in accounting, inventory reconciliation, and financial reporting

Must be highly proficient with Excel Spreadsheets

Must have the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Must be able to show attention to detail and be accurate

Must have excellent English communication (reading, writing, and speaking) skills;

Mandarin (reading, writing, and speaking) skills would be a plus

Must have good work stability

Must attend work on a regular and consistent basis

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Create domestic and international Purchase Orders in the system per the request of the Business Unit managers and follow up with suppliers

Work with suppliers on setting up for the shipment or pick up of the goods

Work closely with the Logistics team on goods pick-up, or receiving

Perform warehouse transfers and repacks per the Logistics team's requests

Keep track of inventory and work with Business Unit Managers on inventory management

Work with the corporate Accounting team on the month end Inventory Reconciliation

Support the AP team in case there are any doubts or questions about costing or invoices received from suppliers

Set up new customers and suppliers in the system following our checklist process

Provide the breakdown of product COGS when requested

Prepare weekly sales reports, monthly inventory reports and AR reports

Provide timely and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information

Act as the primary point-of-contact for accounting and finance related requests and manage sensitive information in a confidential manner

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
