Broadband Maintenance Inc. is a leading Telecommunications Construction company servicing customers in the Ottawa and surrounding area. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Construction Labourer to join our growing business.

Applicants being considered will possess the following skills and abilities:
- Valid Ontario G Drivers License (or equivalent) with a clean Drivers Abstract
- Ability to lift 50 + pounds
- Must have understanding of direction drilling and locates
- Ability to read and write in English
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and in and around heavy equipment
- Ability to work both in all weather conditions
- Excavating existing conduit
- Physically fit
- Pulling and placing fibre optic cable
- Read and interpret blueprints or job specifications and effectively communicate information to team members
- Plan, execute and oversee construction activities to ensure project priorities and objectives are being met.
- Demonstrate strong leadership by setting a positive example and guiding team members efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures by maintaining a thorough understanding and enforcing safe work practices.
- Provide training and mentorship for labourers to support their growth and skill development.
- Assign tasks and project responsibilities to crew members, as well as providing project reports to management.
- Performs other duties as required.
The following experience will be considered an asset:
- Experience working with Mini-Excavator, Backhoe, and other heavy equipment
- Experience in landscaping, interlock, paving and concrete
- Able to read blueprints and/or construction plans
- Experience in telecommunication construction
