Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security across various systems. This position requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software environments, with an emphasis on cloud services, networking, and database management. The Administrator will work collaboratively with other IT professionals to support our organization's technological needs.

Duties

  • Manage and maintain cloud services, including AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Administer virtual environments using VMware and ESXi, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Oversee database management tasks across SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Implement and manage computer networking solutions, including DNS configurations and VPN setups.
  • Develop scripts for automation using Bash (Unix shell), Python, or Shell Scripting to streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to support DevOps practices using tools like Git, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to operating systems (Windows and Linux) to ensure system integrity.
  • Monitor system performance and security protocols to safeguard against vulnerabilities.
  • Provide technical support for RESTful services and applications developed in JavaScript or Java.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in system administration or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware and ESXi.
  • Proficient in database management systems including SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Understanding of computer networking concepts including DNS, VPNs, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or JavaScript is preferred.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
