Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group Ltd
Vancouver, BC
About The Role
Interested in joining one of Canada's top performing asset managers? We are seeking a
forward-looking Infrastructure Snr Manager
to lead the evolution of our hybrid technology landscape. This role requires balancing technical excellence with business partnership — ensuring our platforms are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational strategy. You will drive transformation across on-premises, colocation, and cloud environments (AWS & Azure), embedding agility, automation, and cost-efficiency.

The ideal candidate combines deep infrastructure expertise with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, translate business needs into technology outcomes, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Ensuring that technology investments not only meet operational requirements but also drive measurable business outcomes such as improved efficiency, reduced risk, enhanced customer experience, and sustainable growth.

What You Will Do
Strategy & Business Engagement

  • Partner with business and technology leaders to ensure infrastructure directly enables strategic goals.
  • Define and evolve infrastructure roadmaps that prioritize agility, scalability, and resilience.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies such as SASE, Zero Trust, edge computing, and AI-driven infrastructure.
  • Use Balanced Scorecards and OKRs to align IT performance to strategic outcomes.

Architecture & Operations

  • Oversee design, delivery, and optimization of hybrid infrastructure (on-prem, colocation, Multi-cloud).
  • Drive automation-first practices for provisioning, monitoring, and incident management.
  • Champion infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Bicep, PowerShell, Python) and orchestration frameworks.
  • Ensure robust disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity capabilities.

Performance, Security & Compliance

  • Implement resilient architectures that meet demanding availability and latency requirements.
  • Embed compliance-by-design aligned with SOC1/2, PCI, and ISO27001.
  • Maintaining full compliance with security standards and supporting regular audit reviews.
  • Partner with InfoSec to operationalize Zero Trust and layered security across environments.
  • Lead cost optimization and FinOps practices to balance innovation with fiscal responsibility.

Leadership & Culture

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of infrastructure engineers and architects.
  • Build a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning across global teams.
  • Develop strong vendor and partner relationships to ensure flexibility and value.
  • Develop team capabilities through training, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement practices.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure leadership, engineering, or architecture.
  • Proven success in hybrid environments (data centers, colocation, AWS, Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of networking (SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs), compute, storage (SAN/NAS), and virtualization.
  • Hands-on expertise with automation, orchestration, and observability platforms.
  • Ensure the design, implementation, and optimization of virtualization and containerization technologies to enhance scalability, portability, and efficiency across hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks.
  • Skilled communicator, able to engage executives and technical teams with equal impact.
  • Certifications such as AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, or similar are valued.

Success in This Role

  • Infrastructure is seen as a business accelerator, not a constraint.
  • Teams embrace automation, agility, and measurable value delivery.
  • Our hybrid platforms are secure, cost-optimized, and future-ready.
  • Business leaders view technology as a strategic enabler for growth and innovation

Why Join Us

  • Be part of a global, entrepreneurial culture that values innovation and continuous learning.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, blending in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work.
  • Grow your skills while making a measurable impact on a business that runs 24/7 worldwide.
