Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated, customer service oriented, professional to join the Front Office team as a Regular - Senior Front Office Host.
Senior Front Office Hosts are responsible for the onboarding and training of new Front Office Hosts. This senior role is expected to provide regular feedback and works in conjunction with management to improve the Front Office team's workflow and production. This position is also responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquires. You'll be the face of Hyatt as a Senior Front Office Host.
This position will be scheduled based on business needs. Interested candidates must be available for all shifts especially afternoons and evenings (2:30pm to 11:00pm), must be available to work weekends, holidays and occasional graveyard shifts.
Starting wage is at $25.40 per hour, after 6 months, wage is $29.63 per hour, after 1 year, wage is $33.86 per hour.

Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
Qualifications
- Must have at least 2 years Front Desk experience, preferably in a hotel/hospitality environment
- Must have a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess refined and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and be very detail oriented
- Previous experience in Opera property management system is an asset
- Must have previous cash handling experience
- Knowledge of basic math skills required
- Must have proven experience in making quick and efficient decisions
- Must be able to interact with a diverse group of individuals
- Must have ability to upsell – previous experience is an asset
- Knowledge of a second language is an asset

- Constant standing throughout shift
- Constant writing, typing and computing throughout shift
- Frequent walking throughout the shift
- Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
- Occasional ascending or descending stairs and ramps
