Fresh Advancements Ltd. is an importer and wholesaler of fresh produce at the Ontario Food Terminal. Our product line includes conventional and organic produce, including celery, citrus, apples, cherries and assorted berries. Fresh Advancements' customers enjoy access to major growers from across North America.

Job Brief

Reporting to the management team, the successful candidate will assist in all administration/cashier duties when needed. Duties vary from checking out for customers in-person to helping with customs clearance. We are looking for a candidate with senior administration experience but flexible to perform a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all orders are received by the deadline and accurately entered into the ERP system in a timely manner (I-Trade experience is an asset)
  • Accurately enter sample orders from customers and coordinate the order going out
  • Booking delivery appointments according to business need
  • Interact with all customers (internal and external) to build positive working relationships
  • Checking out for customers whenever needed
  • Interact (verbal and written communication) with customers on complaints or delivery issues
  • Assist in customs clearance procedures for imported products

Job Terms

  • Job Type: Permanent Part-time
  • Probationary Period: 3-months or 480 hours, whichever longer
  • Work Location: Ontario Food Terminal, 165 The Queensway, Etobicoke ON, M8Y 1H8
  • Shift Requirement: Thursdays and Fridays 5:00am - 1:00pm, Sundays 6:00am - 12:00pm
  • Compensation: $19 per hour

Qualifications

  • A college diploma or equivalent is an asset
  • Strong computer software skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with ERP systems especially I-trade is a great asset
