Order Processing Associate

ORDER PROCESSING & CUSTOMER SERVICE REP
Entry level position with a national importer/distributor of residential furniture located in Concord, Ontario. Hire will handle phone or e-mail inquiries end-to-end, from furniture retailers across Canada in the following areas:
- Product information and availability
- Delivery status of an order
- Request for return, repair or exchange
- Order Entry
- Working with specific sales representative to service dealers in their territory
An organized multi-tasker. Takes a proactive approach to ensure information given is executed in expected timeframes, thus eliminating need for customer re-inquiry:
- Co-ordinates dealer order deliveries with shipping department
- Initiates returns, allowances for repairs and exchanges
- Co-ordinates customer requirements with our parts department
- Follows up on above in an escalating alert sequence
A critical thinker, able to decide how to gain customer satisfaction while minimizing costs:
- Takes initiative to find an alternate solution when a customer expectation will not be met.
- Compares relative cost of return, repair, exchange or mark-down and provides the best solution
Skills Required:
- Positive customer focused attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable working with EDI systems and general IT environment.
- Excellent with MS Outlook. Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Internet Explorer
- Experience with Business Vision an asset.
- Time management skills.
Background:
- High School Diploma
- Experience in a business to business account management and / or customer service environment
- Sales and Marketing experience a plus
- Experience in the Home Furnishings industry a plus
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
This is an in-office salaried, 9-5 Monday to Friday, entry level position with a full benefits package after 3 months probation. We are located north of Toronto, Hwy 7 & Keele St.
