Markham ON LR H, Canada NSI Distribution Full time $50,000 - $55,000 per year

NSI Distribution, a Canadian leading distributor in CCTV, Security, Audio, Home Automation, Low-Voltage Wire/Cable, and IT products, is seeking a self-motivated, driven Technical Sales Rep specializing in CCTV, Audio, and Alarm to join the team at our Markham office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess customers' needs, recommend or assist in the selection of appropriate products, and negotiate prices or other sales terms
  • Prepare quotes, process payments and respond to inquiries by telephone, email and/or walk-ins in a timely manner
  • Maintain and grow sales relationships with new and existing customers
  • Troubleshoot technical problems over the phone, in person, or through remote desktop services
  • Develop and maintain technical product knowledge to explain features or complex information to customers in a way that is easily understandable, and answer questions
  • Keep customers informed about new technological products
  • Use knowledge and training to help customers
  • Connect with customers after sale to provide ongoing support
  • Resolve product and service related issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

The right candidate for this role will possess:

  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • Previous experience in the security industry is preferred
  • Strong technical and networking knowledge with IP cameras
  • Good understanding of IT products - CCTV, Alarm, and Audio
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to interact with people using tact and diplomacy
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Interpersonal skills such as active listening, empathy and patience
  • Valid Driver's License
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Education or experience in IT, computer science, sales, or marketing is an asset
