Company Overview

CGH is a boutique transportation planning and engineering firm, focusing on land use development in Ottawa and the GTA. Their team has successfully managed projects from small site plans to large plans of subdivisions, including mixed-use developments, high density TOD developments, large format commercial developments, urban and suburban residential, and institutional campus projects. The types of studies required to support developer clients range from transportation/traffic impact studies, secondary planning activities, to road/pedestrian/cycling network planning, community and site plan traffic calming plans, parking studies, site plan circulation and truck access plans, to public consultation/information events.

About the job

CGH is looking for a full-time Transportation Engineering Technologist, with the following:

  • ·experience with a civil engineering consulting firm or municipal/provincial government engineering agency

  • recent graduate from an Accredited Civil Engineering Technology program.

In this role, you can expect to work closely with project team managers to support transportation impact studies/assessments, functional design studies, and Roadway Modification Approvals. CGH provides well rounded experience & skills to their employees and employees participate in all aspects of a project from the initial startup to the delivery of the final product. This allows new employees to grow their skillset quickly and advance within the company. Though on the job training will be a key part of success within CGH, knowledge of AutoCAD, Transoft Autoturn, Microsoft Office 365 would be beneficial to quickly jumpstart your career at CGH. The ideal candidate will also have excellent written and oral communication skills.
