Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Logistics Alliance Full time $60,000 - $100,000 per year

Are you a relationship builder who gets a rush from turning great leads into long-term partners? As our Business Development Representative, you'll be the driving force behind our growth, qualifying high-potential inbound leads and guiding customers from initial conversation through onboarding and partnership handoff.

You'll do more than just respond to interest; you'll assess each opportunity's long-term value, present solutions that stand out in the market, and work closely with Account Managers to lay the groundwork for lasting customer success. This is the perfect role for someone who loves strategy, thrives on results, and is passionate about building meaningful business relationships.

What You'll Be Accountable For:

  • Qualifying and engaging inbound leads from priority target lists to meet growth goals
  • Assessing each prospect for profitability, operational fit, and long-term value
  • Presenting consultative solutions that showcase our business value
  • Leading pricing discussions using pre-approved tariffs and collaborating on exceptions
  • Owning the customer journey from first contact to onboarding and operational handoff
  • Managing onboarding timelines, tracking key milestones, and flagging obstacles early
  • Maintaining a robust, qualified pipeline through diligent follow-up and proactive relationship-building
  • Preparing regular pipeline reports and sharing market intelligence with leadership
  • Joining account review meetings to spot opportunities for growth and expansion

What You'll Bring:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, or Supply Chain Management (preferred)
  • 3-5 years' experience in business development, vendor relations, or a related role
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to assess long-term business potential
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills—a natural relationship builder
  • Comfortable with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and basic data analysis
  • Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain considered a strong asset
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a focus on building sustainable, non-transactional partnerships

What Sets You Apart:

  • You don't just chase leads. You're a strategic thinker who sees the big picture and helps customers succeed long term.
  • You know how to build trust and credibility fast, even with senior decision-makers.
  • Your follow-up is next-level: prospects never feel left hanging and internal teams always know where things stand.
  • You're resilient and persistent, thriving in complex sales cycles where real partnership is the goal.
  • You naturally uncover growth opportunities others might miss—because you really listen, not just pitch.

What Success Looks Like:

  • A healthy, well-qualified pipeline and meeting prospect targets
  • Smooth, on-time transitions to Account Management with clear documentation
  • Positive feedback from both prospects and internal teams
  • New accounts showing strong performance in the first 6 months
