Crop Solutions Advisor

Our client is a progressive Agri-business that provides innovative products, services and solutions to their clients across Southwestern Ontario. As their seed division grows, a new Crop Solutions Advisor will join the team to deliver agronomic expertise and client-focused service to drive the success of local producers. Combining agronomic insight with relationship-based sales, this role strengthens our client's reputation as a trusted seed partner to farmers and the broader agricultural community.

Reporting to the President and Assistant Seed Manager, you will:

  • Identify, develop, and strengthen business relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Provide agronomic recommendations and technical support that enhance productivity, sustainability, and profitability.
  • Conduct field visits, assess crop performance, and develop tailored crop input solutions.
  • Support research trials, demonstrations, and client education sessions to promote new seed technologies.
  • Contribute to sales planning, quotations, and documentation in alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to uphold ISO 9001 standards, health and safety policies, and company values.
  • Represent the business at trade shows, customer events, and community initiatives.

Your background includes:

  • Post-secondary education in Agriculture or a related field, with 2+ years of relevant agronomy or agricultural sales experience.
  • Strong understanding of local crop production systems, soil management, and agronomic principles.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills with the ability to earn client trust and deliver results.
  • Certified Crop Advisor designation (preferred) or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience operating or supporting farm equipment and precision technology is considered an asset.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Local travel is required (40%) to meet client and business needs, particularly during planting and harvesting seasons, and for industry events and trade shows.
