Solutions Engineer

We're looking for a technically skilled and customer-oriented (Senior) Solutions Engineer to join our Solutions Engineering team at Trackunit, helping us shape the future of connected construction through our IrisX Operating Data Platform. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of our commercial team and deep technology — engaging directly with global customers to understand their challenges, design impactful data architectures, and drive adoption of solutions built on IrisX.
From building proof-of-concepts to leading technical discovery sessions and co-creating solutions with product, engineering, and commercial teams — you'll act as a trusted advisor and architect of scalable, intelligent systems that create real-world impact. You'll be instrumental in enabling digital transformation for the construction industry by turning complex datasets and infrastructure into value-driving solutions.
Whether you prefer working from one of our hubs in Copenhagen, Kolding, Aarhus, or Aalborg, or remotely from anywhere in Denmark, we offer a flexible setup designed for high-impact collaboration. If you're ready to bring your technical expertise to a role that blends hands-on data engineering with customer success, this is your chance to build something meaningful in one of the world's most essential industries.
- You bring a strong background in data engineering, data warehousing, or data science/AI/ML
- You have hands-on experience with the Databricks platform and are familiar with its key features and ecosystem
- You are proficient in Python, SQL, and Spark, and can apply them effectively in real-world data scenarios
- You excel at analyzing customer requirements and designing innovative, scalable solutions
- You're able to translate complex technical concepts into clear messages for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience or understanding of the construction and off-highway vehicle industry is a strong plus
- Engage directly with customers to understand their business challenges and technical requirements — translating these into tailored solutions powered by the Trackunit IrisX Operating Data Platform
- Act as a technical expert by delivering high-impact demos, guiding discovery sessions, and building proof-of-concepts that showcase the real-world value of IrisX
- Identify, assess, and shape data-driven use cases across industries and customer segments, including the strategic application of tools like Databricks within the IrisX ecosystem
- Collaborate closely with Account Executives and Engineering Teams to provide both technical expertise and business value throughout the pre-sales and onboarding lifecycle
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, becoming a go-to advisor and internal champion for architecture, design, and solution implementation — ultimately leading customers to successful long-term adoption of the IrisX platform
Don't waste your time on writing the perfect cover letter for the job. We want you to create an impact that matters, and that's not in the cover letter.
- Virtual meet and greet. Meet with Leonhard Fricke, the manager of this position
- Personality-based interview. You will be asked to fill out an online personality assessment using use Hogan prior to the interview. Our Hogan assessment helps us understand your strengths and how you align with our team culture. It's not about 'correct' answers but about starting a meaningful dialogue to ensure the best fit for you and Trackunit
- Assignment-specific interview. We want you to get an insight into some of the concrete responsibilities related to the role. You will be given a case to prepare prior to the interview, and at the interview, you will present the case to relevant colleagues from across Trackunit, who you'll also work closely with in the job
- If needed, throughout the process we will obtain references from former employers and do background checks for level specific, if you have not provided these yourself
- Offer presentation and walk-through
- Join a cross-functional and collaborative team consisting of consultants, account executives, data scientists, as well as data engineers, and software developers
- A place in an agile growth SaaS business, with possibilities to grow internally in the company. We are moving fast, so fasten your seat belt and prepare to be adaptable. Back in 2020 we were 150 employees at Trackunit and we have just passed 400 employees
- International environment with regular check-ins and social events across teams, departments and borders
- We take your personal and professional development goals seriously and we support them through training, coaching and mindfulness as well as with an outspoken feedback culture to help you identify your strengths and opportunities. We do this by touching upon your impact on our triple focus: impacting yourself, impacting teams/relations and impacting the organisation/strategy
- Flexibility and hybrid working is not just a cliché to us or something we state in a job posting. We do offer you a flexible setup and believe that you best can structure how your routines look like. And once you have chosen how you work best, let us know what you need: we got you covered with the IT equipment you need for your work
- Turning the Tide. At Trackunit, we aim to create and contribute to an inclusive workplace. And this priority starts with our hiring - we do not discriminate on the basis of gender identity, sexual orientation, personal expression, ethnicity, religious belief, or disability status. We only assess candidates on their qualifications and merit. Learn more about TIDE and other DE&I initiatives here.
We're committed to construction - one of the largest industries in the world. Over the past two decades, Trackunit has been pioneering technological progress within construction. Today, we are not only a leading IoT provider but a thought leader, supporting and promoting the agenda for an entire industry on a global scale.
We believe in taking a people approach in everything we do. Being human-centric is not restricted to our products – it's a way of life at Trackunit. We're proud to be a truly global team. Our colleagues get together in hubs spread across the globe, but we embrace the idea of working remotely and in environments that inspire you.
