About The Opportunity
We're seeking a
Bilingual Mortgage Funding Manager
to lead a regional team responsible for the efficient and accurate funding and closing of residential mortgage transactions. This leadership role requires strong operational oversight, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

The Role
As the Bilingual Mortgage Funding Manager, you will oversee a team of Closing Coordinators, ensuring all mortgage closings are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. You will also provide coaching, training, and mentorship to your team, identify process improvements, and ensure the organization's service excellence goals are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Closing Coordinators responsible for mortgage funding and documentation.
  • Monitor daily funding activities and ensure compliance with internal policies and lending guidelines.
  • Allocate workloads and manage priorities to meet or exceed service-level agreements.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, propose improvements, and implement best practices.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to staff.
  • Liaise with legal partners, brokers, and third-party service providers to ensure smooth closings.
  • Review mortgage files for completeness, accuracy, and timely release of funds.
  • Track team performance metrics and prepare regular operational reports.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage products, market trends, and lending standards.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the residential mortgage industry.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role within financial services.
  • Strong understanding of funding processes, mortgage operations, and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a team.
  • Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented with strong time management.
  • Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written) to support diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with SharePoint is an asset.
  • Postsecondary education in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Accredited Mortgage Professional (AMP) designation is an asset.

  • Collaborer avec les partenaires juridiques, les courtiers et les fournisseurs de services externes pour assurer la fluidité des clôtures.
  • Examiner les dossiers hypothécaires pour en garantir l'exactitude et la conformité.
  • Produire et analyser les rapports de performance de l'équipe.
  • Maintenir à jour ses connaissances du marché hypothécaire et des tendances de l'industrie.
  • Favoriser une culture de collaboration, d'amélioration continue et de responsabilisation.

Profil recherché

  • Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience dans le secteur hypothécaire résidentiel.
  • Au moins 5 ans dans un rôle de gestion ou de supervision au sein des services financiers.
  • Solide compréhension des processus de financement, des opérations hypothécaires et de la gestion du risque.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication, en résolution de problèmes et en négociation.
  • Capacité démontrée à encadrer, motiver et former une équipe.
  • Grand sens de l'organisation et de la planification, souci du détail et esprit analytique.
  • Bilinguisme français et anglais (oral et écrit) essentiel pour soutenir des partenaires internes et externes diversifiés.
  • Maîtrise de Microsoft Office; connaissance de SharePoint, un atout.
  • Diplôme universitaire ou collégial en affaires, finance ou domaine connexe.
  • La désignation de Professionnel hypothécaire accrédité (AMP) constitue un atout.
