Development Manager

Step into a high-impact development role where you'll wear multiple hats, lead meaningful projects, and help scale a mission-driven housing developer in its growth phase.
Your New Employer
Join a purpose-driven housing developer delivering new rental and affordable homes across a diverse and expanding portfolio. Operating with the agility of a startup, the organization combines private-sector execution with a long-term commitment to community wellbeing. This is a lean, collaborative environment where every team member plays a hands-on role in shaping projects, processes, and culture. If you're energized by building systems, solving complex challenges, and working on meaningful housing initiatives, you'll thrive here.
Your New Role
As a lead Development Manager, you'll manage multiple projects from feasibility through construction and turnover. This is a generalist role in the best sense; you'll lead consultants, coordinate approvals, analyze budgets, support financing, attend construction meetings, engage with stakeholders, and help build internal processes as the organization scales.
You'll work across mixed-use, rental, and affordable housing projects, ensuring each one aligns with long-term livability, financial sustainability, and community impact goals. Expect broad responsibility, high visibility, and the chance to shape a growing development platform from the inside out.
What Sets You Apart
You bring 3–6 years of development experience with multifamily, rental, or mixed-use projects and can confidently manage budgets, schedules, consultant teams, and approvals. You're comfortable wearing multiple hats, shifting quickly between strategy and execution, and bringing structure to evolving workflows.
You're analytical, organized, and steady under pressure—but also adaptable, curious, and energized by building something new. You communicate clearly, collaborate well, and are motivated by work that creates lasting social value.
What You Can Expect
A hands-on role with real influence across the full development cycle. A collaborative, mission-driven culture. The chance to help define systems, standards, and best practices as the organization grows. A competitive compensation and benefits package is on offer.
