This is a hybrid position. You must be in the Ottawa, Canada office, at least three days a week.

About The Team
We are a group of
generalist software engineers with a C++ focus
, working together to democratize the creation and extension of computations in the Maestro platform. We are a fast-moving, collaborative team, and each of us is passionate about what we do. This is a full time, 8 or 12- month position, starting January 2026.
To be eligible for a Co-op or Intern position at Kinaxis, you must either be currently enrolled in full-time education or, if you are a recent/upcoming graduate, your graduation date must be within 12 months of the placement end date.
What You Will Do
Use a variety of modern technologies, and work across the software development lifecycle from development through build and into testing and test automation. You will:

• Develop high quality, well-crafted code that delivers value to our customers
• Test the work of other team members and develop automated tests
• Collaborate with developers and testers on your team, and other teams
• Support a variety of special projects as needed

What We Are Looking For

• 3 rd year student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent program
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for writing well-crafted, maintainable, robust, unit-test covered code
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, and other core software concepts
• Ability to quickly grasp technical ideas
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• A willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to our processes

Things That Would Definitely Help

• Prior development experience with C++
• Practical Knowledge of C++ STL containers
• Development experience with Java/C#, and/or Typescript
• Experience with Network programming
• Understanding of Cloud Platforms and Kubernetes
