Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care while ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
  • Perform chairside assisting duties, including taking and developing radiographs (X-rays).
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
  • Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure the cleanliness of the treatment area.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care, including working with pediatric and orthodontic patients.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries as a dental receptionist when needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
  • Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology is preferred.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus, along with knowledge of orthodontics.
  • Proficiency in using dental software systems like Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable.
