OVERVIEW
This role will drive strategic initiatives relating to vendors and budgets across a variety of business units within Canada Life's Wealth Solutions business.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Support business units within Wealth Solutions as Planning Lead by driving forecasts, budgets, approvals, and business cases on a variety of initiativesSupport AVP, Investment Operations and Servicing in managing external vendor budget. This includes service providers such as Bloomberg and market data providers such as S&P Dow Jones, + MSCI. Influence business partners and key stakeholders to ensure that the resources needed for the initiatives are allocated and documented accuratelyAssist Wealth Solutions businesses as they develop cases for a variety of audiencesPresent recommendations to senior leadership as requiredEnsure new service providers or market data providers are onboarded in compliance with corporate guidelinesConduct peer survey and market trends on behalf of Wealth Solutions business unitsWHAT YOU WILL BRING
5+ years of experience in financial services ideally in investment fund operationsStrong planning/budgeting and project management skillsSelf-motivated and results oriented individual with analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills to enable effective engagement with key stakeholders during project ideation, planning, and deliveryExperience partnering with external suppliers and vendorsOrganizational skills to drive structure around project planning, tracking, and reportingStrong presentation skills to drive clear and concise recommendations to senior leadershipVision and ability to see how the strategy impacts future operational processes, procedures, and policies-
The base salary for this position is between $67,000 - $117,400 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
