Electrical Mechanical Technician

We are currently hiring for a Electrical Mechanical Technician for our Hardwoodlands Location, less than 15 minutes from the Halifax Airport. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the reliability and performance of equipment supporting the Packaging Plant operations.

· Troubleshooting, problem solving and repair of production plant and equipment.

· Providing advice and support to production employees who carry out basic preventative maintenance procedures on production equipment.

· Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to understand the plant and equipment on site.

· Assembling, repairing, and installing mechanical components on site.

· Accurate documentation or processes and procedures.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required:

· Completion of a technical program

· Competent in computer skills, including the use of e-mail, the internet, CMMS systems.

· Strong attention to detail.

· High regard for safety

· Maintains a high level of integrity and accountability.

· Easily adaptable in the field as the demands of the plant change.
