Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician - Calibration to play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our monitoring and measuring equipment. In this role, you will manage our calibration program, maintain records and procedures, perform in-house calibrations, and coordinate with external vendors.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment. This position is essential to ensuring compliance with quality standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Calibration & Quality Systems

  • Maintain and continuously improve the calibration lab and calibration management system.
  • Perform in-house calibrations and coordinate all vendor calibrations.
  • Create, maintain, and update calibration records, procedures, and recall systems.
  • Notify equipment users of calibration status and manage scheduling and delivery of devices.

Vendor & Equipment Management

  • Conduct new device research, prepare pricing, and support purchasing activities.
  • Coordinate with external calibration vendors to send, receive, and track calibrated equipment.
  • Maintain vendor relationships to ensure reliable turnaround times and service quality.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Respond to and address non-conformance reports related to calibration.
  • Support quality engineering, production, and QC teams with calibration-related activities.
  • Assist with document control and provide backup coverage for lab testing as needed.
  • Contribute to inspection plan projects and other quality initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Post-secondary education or technical training in Quality Assurance, Metrology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in a calibration, quality control, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of calibration standards, procedures and systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with quality management or calibration software systems is an asset.
