CNC Programmer

Working in a fast paced environment you will be responsible for programming, set up and operation of our CNC machines.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 7am till 3:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Program Set-up .
- Adhere to instructions, regulations of quality, health & safety policies.
- Analyze job orders.
- Make calculations to determine where materials should be cut.
- Define the best sequence of machining steps.
- Decide tools, speeds, feeds and fixtures to be used.
- Communicate with other programmers, shop floor management, machinists/setup and operators and engineering and sales staff to achieve this.

- Fusion 360 Experience
- FANUC Controls.
- HAAS Controls.
- OKUMA Controls.
- Set up experience on lathes and mills.
- Ability to read and write English.
- CNC milling and programming: 5 year (Preferred).
- CNC Machinist: 5 year (Preferred).
- Shop: 10 year (Preferred).

Plainsman is currently operating out of a 44000 sq. ft. facility on the south side of Edmonton. We are dedicated to providing our customers with the best possible service, and maintain a large inventory at our Edmonton location. Continued registration of our ISO 9001 quality assurance system since 1994 also reflects our commitment to quality and service. At Plainsman, we are constantly seeking out new and better products and services to meet our customer's requirements and the ever-changing demands of the industry.
Over the past 50 years Plainsman has built a solid distribution base which includes oilfield supply stores, OEM's, PC pump suppliers, chemical pump and instrumentation companies and utility companies principally in Western Canada.
