The Vendor Operations Manager Opportunity

Okta is hiring a Vendor Operations Manager to support our Auth0's engineering vendor management program. 

Our Auth0 Engineers leverage a variety of different tools and applications from third party providers to help them deliver on their everyday work. As the Engineering Operations Manager, Vendor Operations, you will help us design and build for scale, define clear vendor processes, and manage the timely renewal of our vendor contracts.

What you'll be doing

  • Identify, collect and organize key information on each tool and application
  • Maintain various vendor tracking sheets and dashboards to ensure program accuracy
  • Optimize our vendor management program for speed and efficiency
  • Act as the liaison between Okta's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement and Accounts Payable teams and the Engineering leaders who are accountable for the successful onboarding & renewal of our vendors
  • Produce and contribute to internal documentation that will help educate and inform our Engineers on how our vendor management program works and how we interact with Okta's Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team
  • Tracking and monitoring Scout (Procurement) and Coupa (Accounts Payable) tickets throughout the sourcing lifecycle 
  • Partner with other Okta organizations who use or own the same vendor tools to facilitate consolidation of agreements & contracts for maximum savings
  • Support vendor Quarterly Business Reviews with key strategic vendors
  • Support Quarterly & Annual User Access Review Audits
  • Partner with AR/AP to investigate vendor invoice and payment issues
What you'll bring to the role
  • 5+ years of experience managing vendors and renewals
  • Highly proficient in G-Suites; expert in G-Sheets
  • Proficient in Atlassian Confluence 
  • Experience working with procurement software such as Scout
  • Proactive and independent in finding opportunities and driving solutions
  • Detail oriented and highly organized
  • Motivated self-starter who enjoys the balance of working independently and collaborating as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across multiple cultures and time zones via verbal and written channels, including email, Slack, Zoom, and in-person 
  • Comfortable with ambiguous situations and experience driving outcomes

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, RRSP with a match, healthcare spending, telemedicine, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in Canada is between: $90,000—$134,000 CAD
