Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant to support early childhood education and caregiving activities. This role involves working closely with children, including those with disabilities, to foster a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching or caregiving settings, particularly with young children, and possess a genuine passion for helping others learn and grow. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

  • Assist lead teachers or caregivers in implementing educational activities and lesson plans tailored to young children's developmental needs
  • Support children during classroom activities, ensuring they are engaged, safe, and supported
  • Provide care and supervision for children with disabilities, adapting activities as needed to meet individual needs
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
  • Support children's social-emotional development through positive interactions and encouragement
  • Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene
  • Collaborate with team members to create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a positive educational experience

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
  • Experience working with children, especially those with disabilities or special needs, is highly desirable
  • Background in teaching or early childhood education is an advantage
  • Demonstrated caregiving skills and patience when working with young children
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Passion for supporting children's growth and development through engaging activities and compassionate care

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
