    – Understanding of working in a cannabis licensed facility; adherence to SOPs, good production practices, safety protocols, accurate documentation and record-keeping.

    – Effective communication with production, packaging and quality teams; ability to coordinate print job priorities and maintain workflow.

    – Ability to manage multiple print jobs, maintain logs, ensure timely completion, and keep workstation clean and organized.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Part-Time Printer Operator
to support production operations at our licensed cannabis facility in Regina. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting a high-volume digital label printer, ensuring that all product labels are produced accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with Health Canada regulations.

This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a regulated environment, has strong technical aptitude, and enjoys hands-on production work.

Key Responsibilities
Printer Operation & Production

  • Operate the digital color label printer for daily production runs.
  • Set up print jobs, load media, adjust print parameters, and monitor print quality throughout production.
  • Ensure labels meet internal quality standards, brand guidelines (as per Doobie Snacks styling), and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with production staff to prioritize print jobs and maintain workflow efficiency.

Quality Control & Compliance

  • Inspect printed labels for color accuracy, print clarity, alignment, and material consistency.
  • Ensure all labels comply with Health Canada cannabis packaging and labelling regulations (including THC symbols, lot numbers, packaging dates, bilingual requirements, etc.).
  • Document print runs and maintain accurate logs for audit and compliance purposes.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

  • Perform routine maintenance on label printing equipment (cleaning printheads, inspecting rollers, replacing consumables, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot common print issues such as color banding, misalignment, media jams, and software errors.
  • Communicate with vendors or technical support when advanced maintenance or repairs are required.

General Facility Support

  • Assist with light production tasks when needed (e.g., packaging, assembly, or inventory support).
  • Follow all facility SOPs, Good Production Practices (GPP), and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Qualifications
Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Technical aptitude and comfort with operating equipment, software, and production tools.
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment and follow strict SOPs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Preferred

  • Experience operating industrial or commercial label printing equipment.
  • Previous experience in a licensed cannabis facility or other regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of Health Canada cannabis packaging and labelling requirements.
  • Familiarity with print management software, colour calibration, or digital printing workflows.

Work Hours

  • Part-time position:
    10–20 hours per week
    (flexible scheduling available).
  • Additional hours may be available based on production demand.
