Upon joining the team, the Production Assistant will be promptly trained and tasked with:- Operation and support functions for production equipment- Supporting production to deliver every order on time, with the highest quality- Labelling - Organizing orders- Inspecting finished products- Packaging products and orders- Keeping records- Cleaning production equipment- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment- Miscellaneous operational tasks In the coming months, the Production Assistant will play a pivotal role in the rapid expansion the business is experiencing. Major Functions and Scope:- Interpret production schedule and operate production equipment- Move raw materials from storage to buffering stages (tracking consumption)- Monitor equipment, replenishing materials as needed.- Label and package finished product- Interpret packaging schedule and pick and pack finished product for shipment- Store finished product in inventory- Data entry for updating production records and inventory- Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area- Assist with preventative maintenance tasks

Knowledge, Experience, Competencies:

Requirements years of work experience in a production or warehouse facility- Physically able to perform repetitive movements and stand for prolonged periods- Eligible to work in Canada Competencies & Capabilities- Strong team collaborator with ability to deliver results- Effective communicator- Diligent, punctual, and reliable- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn- Strong team contributor- Adaptability to change (change of scope, timelines, priorities…)- Results oriented and problem solver- Attention to detail- Physically capable to lift 50 pounds- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills- Adaptable and team player- Understand and action standard operating procedures- Ability to work independently and unsupervised- Ability to work under pressure with deadlines Other Pertinent Job Information:- Attendance is required full time at Inhaus Surfaces Production facility (in Richmond, BC.)
