Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Reporting Analyst to collect, analyze, and present data that supports informed decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a keen eye for accuracy, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of Retail data to support Finance, Business and Analytics teams with data preparation, organization, quality control, reporting, and governance
  • Lead the development of productionized data assets consumable by the enterprise
  • Establish robust documentation including business rules, data linage maps, script summaries to facilitate questions from business teams on data fields and derived metrics
  • Produce and distribute key reporting on foundational data metrics to Sr. Executive audience. Automate practices to establish consistency and increase efficiency within team of data analysts and engineers
  • Provide creative solutions, recommendations and timely advice that solve problems through data management and engineering
  • Facilitate data reviews which maintain integrity of metric production and reporting
  • Collaborate with IT and Enterprise teams supporting the migration of data assets into cloud
  • Gather, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities through data analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with company standards
  • Automate recurring reports to improve efficiency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related fields. On-job experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel with detailed knowledge of VBA coding, power queries, power pivots and external data sources
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL and MS SQL with attention to data mining ETL coding including competency in comparative analytics
  • Proficiency in Cognos Analytics version FP6 and higher. In depth understanding of Transformer and Framework modeling and Application reporting capabilities
  • Understanding of data source structures, indexes and performance tuning
  • Understanding of Azure data lake and pipeline processes with the ability to build and monitor data and timing
  • Knowledge of Jira and/or other Sprint Planning Software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
  • Sound knowledge of database technologies; able to communicate with staff to challenge processes and solution complex problems
  • Seasoned experience in developing and driving data strategy
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate both technical and business concepts, as well as strong presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience with data governance and quality assurance is an asset
