Carpenter/Joiner

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joiner to join our construction and manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, installing, and repairing wooden structures and fixtures, ensuring precision and quality in every project. This role requires a strong understanding of carpentry, woodworking, and various construction techniques, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. The Joiner will collaborate with other trades and contribute to diverse projects including cabinetry, framing, restoration, and custom woodwork.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute projects
• Construct, install, and repair wooden structures such as cabinets, framing, flooring, siding, and custom woodwork
• Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC machines, and other woodworking equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, siding, and masonry tasks as needed
• Assist with restoration projects by repairing or refurbishing existing structures
• Measure materials precisely to ensure proper fit and finish
• Collaborate with project managers to estimate materials and time requirements for projects
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety compliance
• Utilize construction estimating skills for project planning and resource allocation
• Support plumbing, electrical, or maintenance person tasks when required for integrated project completion

Skills

• Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
• Experience with concrete forming, masonry, roofing, siding, tile laying, flooring installation, and caulking
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques including cabinet installation and general carpentry
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and other construction equipment
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes for project planning
• Experience in rebar installation or metal framing is a plus
• Knowledge of restoration techniques or manufacturing processes related to wood products is advantageous
• Basic electrical or plumbing experience is desirable but not required
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of construction work
