Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and deploy high-quality Java-based applications that meet business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services using REST standards.
  • Contribute to front-end development efforts utilizing JavaScript, React, Express, and other modern web frameworks to create engaging user interfaces.
  • Maintain and improve existing software systems by troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and implementing new features.
  • Participate actively in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, code reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Manage version control using tools like GitHub, SVN, and Git to ensure code integrity and seamless collaboration.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to deploy scalable applications while leveraging services like Linux environments for deployment and testing.
  • Design secure systems by implementing RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) policies and adhering to best practices for application security.
  • Utilize SQL and MySQL databases for data modeling, querying, and reporting to support application functionality.
  • Engage in continuous learning of emerging technologies such as quantum engineering concepts or C++ extensions that could enhance project capabilities.
  • Document technical specifications, API endpoints, and system architecture clearly for future reference and team knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software development with a strong focus on Java programming language across multiple projects.
  • Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components including Linux servers, cloud services (AWS/Azure), and network protocols like RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency in front-end development tools such as JavaScript frameworks (React), HTML/CSS, and for building responsive web applications.
  • Familiarity with version control systems including GitHub, Git, SVN for collaborative coding environments.
  • Hands-on experience with databases such as MySQL or SQL Server for data management tasks.
  • Knowledge of application security principles including RBAC policies to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies to deliver iterative improvements efficiently.
  • Additional skills in C#, .NET framework, Python, VBA or C++ are considered advantageous for cross-platform integration projects or specialized engineering tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to articulate technical concepts clearly across teams.
