Skretting is hiring a Maintenance Technician who thrives on precision, problem-solving, and hands-on impact for Vancouver location.

About the role
: The Maintenance Technician operates within a mechanical/ production / technical department, with a focus on execution of preventive and corrective maintenance. The main purpose of the job of a Maintenance Technician is to prevent any malfunction of the equipment, apparatus, machinery or systems that are used in the production process is able to deal with issues in related technical areas.

Responsibilities:

• Inspections & Preventive Maintenance: Assess and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. Fix defects and perform corrective tasks based on inspection results.
• Flag potential issues early and suggest long-term solutions.
• Lead complex maintenance projects and supervise third-party technicians
• Malfunctions & Emergency Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, evaluate severity and determine repair urgency, perform hands-on repairs and consult with supervisors when needed
• Modifications & Upgrades: Execute overhaul and modification work per instructions, recommend improvements based on your experience and technical insight

Skills and Expertise:
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• At least 4 to 5+ years of strong maintenance experience with understanding of the safety standards in the manufacturing operations or production environment

Expectation from the Role:

• Hand on with all maintenance activities in the appropriate maintenance management systems in order to have a complete administration and insight in the state and history of all equipment, files all technical data
• Good knowledge of the safety standards, ability to signal potential hazardous and / or unsafe situations, takes appropriate action is case of imminent unsafe situations
• Mechanical mastery and a sharp eye for detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team
• Passion for keeping systems running smoothly and safely
