Network Security Consultant – SASE (Level 2) - Part Time - Remote

Contract | 12 Months + Possible Extensions

We are recruiting
two experienced Security Consultants
to support
Network Security Optimization – Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)
initiative. This role involves hands-on technical work configuring, deploying, optimizing, and supporting cloud-based security services in a large enterprise environment.

About the Opportunity

You will contribute to an ongoing implementation of enterprise-scale
SASE services
, including:

  • Secure Web Gateway (SWG)
  • Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA)

Your primary focus will be ensuring the platform is configured according to best practices and aligned with the Province's security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and deploy SWG, CASB, ZTNA, and related SASE security services.
  • Set up and provision users, administrators, and security policies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during pilot and rollout phases.
  • Provide expert guidance on SASE security architecture and best practices.
  • Develop and optimize reporting, dashboards, and automated insights.
  • Assist security investigation teams using SASE tools.
  • Create documentation and deliver knowledge-transfer sessions to internal IT teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Direct hands-on experience implementing SWG, CASB, ZTNA, or full SASE solutions.
  • Background in information security consulting or enterprise security engineering.
  • Experience configuring policies, onboarding users, and supporting operational SASE environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with identity, networking, and security teams.
  • Experience creating documentation and supporting training initiatives.
  • Preferred certifications:
  • Zscaler Certified Cloud Professional
  • Palo Alto PSE: SASE Professional
  • CISSP, CCSP, CCNP Security, or equivalent

Contract Details

  • Initial Term:
    January 2026 – January 2027
  • Option to Extend:
    Up to four additional 6-month terms
  • Onboarding:
    Must be available to start within three business days of contract signing
  • Work model:
    Remote or hybrid within Canada
