Job Overview

Are you passionate about natural health, nutrition, and leading a team that makes a positive impact every day? We're looking for a motivated, hands-on Store Manager to join our team at Okotoks Natural Foods As our Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that it runs smoothly and efficiently. Your leadership will drive sales performance, enhance customer satisfaction, and foster a positive work environment for our team. You will play a crucial role in managing staff, assisting with inventory and merchandising, while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

Duties

  • Lead, inspire, and support a team of staff in daily store operations and task delegating
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience rooted in wellness and product knowledge
  • Provide help in all areas of the store as needed; produce, grocery, supplements, etc.
  • Assist in developing new processes that streamline operations
  • Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and sales
  • Identify opportunities to improve store efficiency, organization, and customer flow
  • Utilize POS systems for transactions, inventory management, and reporting
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Manage and resolve any customer concerns
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment is maintained

Skills

  • Previous management experience is required, 2 year minimum (health food, grocery, or natural wellness preferred)
  • A passion for natural health and a commitment to ongoing learning
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership qualities to motivate and guide team members towards success.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, staff, and owners
  • Knowledge of retail sales techniques along with exceptional customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with training & development practices to enhance team capabilities.
  • Ability to work some flexible hours, including an occasional weekend
  • Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time and lift and carry 40lbs
