Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Shift Leader to oversee daily operations and provide support to our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, caregiving, and experience working with individuals with disabilities. This role involves leading a team, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and fostering positive relationships with both staff and families.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor staff members during shifts to ensure high-quality care and education for children.
  • Develop and implement engaging educational activities that cater to the needs of children, including those with disabilities.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for children and staff.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a supportive atmosphere that promotes teamwork and professional growth.
  • Assist in training new staff on best practices in early childhood education and caregiving techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and organizational policies.

Requirements

  • Previous classroom experience is essential, preferably in early childhood education settings.
  • Experience working with people with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong teaching skills with the ability to engage children in learning activities effectively.
  • A background in caregiving or experience working directly with children is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with children, families, and staff members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
