Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and bookkeeping. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and strong analytical skills to ensure accurate financial reporting and account reconciliation.

Duties

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate entry of invoices and payments.
  • Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Support payroll processing using systems such as ADP, Ceridian, or UltiPro, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Conduct account reconciliation to verify the accuracy of financial statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or Workday for various accounting tasks.
  • Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting and account analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
  • Maintain organized documentation for all financial transactions.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Workday) is highly preferred.
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll systems (ADP, Ceridian, Kronos), and bookkeeping practices.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of financial services principles including budgeting and account analysis.
  • Excellent math skills with the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
